Copy and insert a Amp Block

Hello,
I do the following:
- Copy a Amp Block( Scene 4, Channel D) from Preset 002
- going to Preset 001
- open Scene 4 and going to the Amp-Block(which is on Channel D)
- right click and insert the amp block (from preset 002)
What happens:
The Amp-Block was inserted correctly, but when I look to the Amp-Block of Scene 3 I see there is a different amp. To be precise its the Amp that was on Scene 4 before I inserted the new Amp from Preset 002.
I am using FW 4.03
What have I done wrong ?

it sounds like you want to copy a channel, not the whole block?

To add some detail to the other answers:

Within each preset, you have blocks.

Each block has a certain number of channels (usually 4).

Each Channel contains the settings for a variant of that block type.

Each preset also has 8 Scenes.

Each Scene stores ONLY the on/off state and selected channel of each block... Not the settings of a block.

So, what you want to do is copy a CHANNEL of the Amp block, not the Amp BLOCK (which contains all 4 channels).

In Axe-Edit:

  • Open the source preset (002)
  • Select the scene with the channel you want to copy from (4)
  • On the left of the screen click the Channels drop down
  • Select Copy current channel to clipboard
  • Open the destination preset (001)
  • Select the scene you want to copy to (4)
  • Click the Amp block
  • Make sure the selected channel is the one you want to late into
  • On the left of the screen click the Channels drop down
  • Select Paste current channel from clipboard
  • Done
