Axe-Edit III 1.01.03 is now available via auto-update or from our website:

https://www.fractalaudio.com/axe-fx-iii-edit/

Current Axe-Fx III Firmware Version: 5.01

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
* Mac version requires OS version 10.7 or newer
* Windows version requires Windows 7 or newer
* Minimum firmware version 3.02

NEW IN THIS VERSION

  • Updates to the FC Controllers and Per-Preset FC screens.
    • Corrected the FC Controller's CS MIDI dialog. The Number, On Value, and Off Value now correctly show the value 127 instead of "--".
    • Modified the editable controls in the FUNCTIONS view to require only a single click.
    • Changed the button-down state of the "FC Controllers" and "Per-Preset FC" to make it more obvious when toggled.
    • Corrected the PRESET category's "Select in Bank" and "Toggle in Bank" to use the currently set "Bank Size" parameter as the value's upper limit.
  • Added support for firmware 5.0.
    • Updated the AMP block "Authentic" layout to match firmware 5.00.
    • Updated "Cathode Follower" controls on AMP block's "Dynamics" page.
    • Added AES/SPDIF Input Level control to SETUP page.
  • Added VU meter to the CAB block's "Preamp" page.

You're quick, brother!

No-issue installation on Win7X64 and Win10x64. Deeper diving later.

Wish add graphical representations of apps, cabs, effects, etc. To axe edit. This would be more intuitive and similar to line6, amplitube, etc.

You can create a wish in the Axe-Edit wish list forum. But this has been asked for over the years many times, so don't hold your breath ;)

I found something that's not supposed to be there?

The 'Multiplexer' block shows a 'Bypass' parameter in the editor. But that block can't be bypassed.

According to the wiki: Simply bypassing and engaging the MUX disables and enables its routing. This only allows you to switch between two sources. Note that bypassing the MUX will sum all inputs, which may have an impact on the signal level.
