Which ones were those 3 different FRFRs?

JBL EON610, JBL EON612, Line 6 Powercab. The JBL EON612 sounded best to my ears...but the CLR is so much better, it's off the scale. I've subsequently picked up a little Mackie DLM8 which I like too. It's not as good as the CLR, but it's acceptable and good for portability, when that's important.

I def heard a diff on the FOH test.....not so much on the Amp and Cab one though ?

I would try 120hz and 6000hz for the cuts, and you could also try to boost the mids a little bit by using the 5 band passive eq in the amp block.

This makes ALL the difference in my gain amp presets.

For me, emphasizing mids on high gain and rolling back some highs is the secret to good high gain without the cheap sounding, annoying fizz. As was mentioned earlier, using less gain than one might think is also good. It's still gainy, but no longer a muddy mess.
