I've searched everywhere to figure out how to setup a stereo FX8 configuration via MIDI control of two EVH 5150 III 50w heads (one EL34 & one 6L6) each driving their matching EVH 212 Cabs. My question only pertains to the MIDI switching. All other connections have been made, and it sounds glorious.
The I/O of the FX8 has one OUT/THRU and one MIDI IN. The 5150 III 50W Heads each have one MIDI IN. So, I can MIDI control one head, but cannot figure out how to communicate via MIDI to the other head.
Do I need to assign a MIDI Block? Is there a special MIDI Y cable that could send messages from the FX8 to the heads simultaneously? I have no idea. I imagine there is a solution that I haven't thought of since the FX8 ships pre-configured for stereo. I'd rather not slave one head to the other, but prefer to blend the two heads (tones) as the I/O, cabs, etc. are identical. It will be an awesome setup. Thank you in advance!
