My DIY foot controller

Hi All,

I wanted to share some pictures of my DIY foot controller project. It started about a year ago but was shelved until I learned more about MIDI SysEx. It has 4 "modes" for presets, scenes, looper functions, and FX blocks. Presets can be saved to a button (including their current scene), FX blocks currently only toggles bypass states. The function of the main 8 switches are shown on little OLED screens. Additionally there is a save button, tap-tempo, tuner, up/down (that have different functions depending on mode) and probably some other things that I haven't really locked in yet. Still a work in progress, lots to do, but it looks cool so here we go.

I'm always impressed by those who have the patience and skills to work something like that out.
Very cool indeed!

I just can be impressed
Respect for this awesome job

My homemade controller has the same exact 4 modes, but for all the rest it is so rudimentary in comparison with yours.

Once again, beautiful job and congratulations

Thanks, everyone. I wish I had a better camera. The current photos look like they had some sort of "enhance fingerprints" filter on.

Manu68 - your project was inspirational. I appreciate your kind words.

Impressive work - nice LCDs!

Do you plan Expression Pedal Functionality?

Nah. I did play around with it but I just don't need more than what the 2 external inputs on my Axe FX II has... plus they have higher resolution and calibration.

What screens did you use for the switch label?

I looked into doing that for my MC2 but just couldn't find suitable screens. I may still retrofit them if I find the right device.

Also that case looks amazing. Was it custom built? How?

Great stuff.
