FX8 and external footswitches

From reading the manual, it looks like the FX8 currently only supports a single external switch per pedal input. Does the potential exist to two switches per pedal input since they support a TRS connection for expression pedals?

It would be nice to have an expression pedal and something like a Boss FS-7.

The Pedal inputs are not configured to handle two switches.
