FAS shooting new IRs this week !

The thing with those small Ampeg B15's is the sound predominantly comes from the box. I have an old 1962 B15N and the amp is clean to a point and then breaks up quite quickly. The old CTS speaker in that tiny box is where all the magic happens. A good IR of a great B15 cabinet will be just what...

Tuner: do you want the magic ball removed?

I LIke the 8 ball. It's great for setting the intonation. Saves me pulling the old Peterson Strobe. Please keep it or something similar.

Best use of my gear: AxeFXII, vintage '78 Marshall 1959 JMP MkII SprLead100 head+cab

Make sure you turn off the Cab sims in the Axe-fx. I run the Axe through the Matrix and into the Marshall 1960A box. Sounds great with the Cab sims off and not so great with them on.

Axe-fx 2 for the aussies!!!

A word of warning on firmware updates. I recently updated from 3.xx to the new 4.01. It was all running smoothly until the unit froze and blank screened. It now dead and has to be sent back to Andrew for a new eprom. Scratching my head to figure out why this one and the only thing I can think of...

I recieved a response from Independent music, the Aussie distributor, which is excellent considering they are closed. I will be returning the unit to them for repair. I offered to replace eprom myself but they would prefer to do it. Understandable I guess. Hopefully wont take too long to get...

Oh, and I didn't know the USB was less stable than the MIDI. I will hook it up via MIDI for future updates.

Thanks guys. Yeh, pretty scary stuff. I've never had these issues before. I guess we live and learn. :) I'll take note not to update whilst in the midst of the work season. Lucky I still have my old trusty amps and pedals to fall back on. I'll wait for a response from the distributor and fix...

The Aussie distributor is closed till the new year. Do I get an eprom from them or from FAS? Is it easy to replace?

I've done that. The unit still displays blank screen with all lights on. Is there any way to revert the unit to it's previous state or is the eprom dead?

Just ran through the usual process of firmware updates and this time it didn't complete. Instead of rebooting itself after the sysex was sent it just went blank and all the lights came on. I have a bad feeling my unit has been corrupted. Anyone know what I should try?? Thanks
