How much louder is one KRK Rokit monitor from another? Which is favorite?

The bigger the woofer the better bass response, IOW, they will be flat thru lower and lower freqs.

Spiky highs

For a Mesa Mark amp a treble of 7.20 is not high, but pretty much normal. Bass nearly at 0 is also a must. In these amps, the eq knobs don't actually eq the tone, but control gain and flub. It's the graphic eq that is really equing. My guess is that you're playing with a too hard pick.

It looks like the one big hurdle separating me from my linux-ready axefx 2 is a firmware loader, not the money. If needed I could point to an open-source linux kernel driver that does exactly that, upload some propietary binary-blob firmware to a usb audio interface that then works as a standard...

I remember reading something about a firmware loader needed apart from the usb audio class 2 requirement. But yes, linux support looks very feasible (fingers crossed). And a native axe-edit with no workarounds needed would be awesome.

Native axe-edit support would be awesome and probably now easier than ever now that it can work with midi over usb. But what I really meant is plugging the axefx 2 directly to a linux box and record, reamp direct and all the other cool things you will be able to with macs and windows boxes...
