FM3 Firmware Version 4.00 beta 1

Okay, OMG. I've never been able to afford (or want to spend) enough to get a really good tube amp, but I finally feel like I would never need one. This does it. It is frickin' awesome! Thanks Cliff & Fractal team.

FM3 - running through ?

At home I play stereo through two Yamaha DXR10 speakers. I have small JBL studio monitors but don't run the FM3 through them. I did once and one of the speakers seemed to develop an issue (had to replace internal amp). I'm not sure if the FM3 caused the issue but I don't chance it. And I like...

FM3 just for effects, straight into amp.

You might search the forum for info on 4 channel method (4CM). This lets you put FM3 overdrives and other effects in front of the amp and put delays and reverbs after the amp's preamp (i.e. in the effects loop). This gives you more flexibility.

[Poll] How will you connect your FM3 if your bandmate is a stompbox guy?

When we could gig pre-COVID, I ran a DXR10 behind me plus a little in the monitors for the others to hear in stage and a some in the FOH mix. The other guitarist ran his Bogner Goldfinger (a very cool amp... the cleans!!!) on stage but had a Fryette Power Station from which he sent the XLR out...

These are Axe III but most will work on the FM3 and sound GREAT.

FM3 at my outdoor Concert Gig was INCREDIBLE!

The Stevens Playboy preset is really amazing. It is dialed in to sound awesome. I suspect I might have to dial the gain back just a bit at live volume, though.

Which tuner is right?

Thanks! I've always struggled with intonation and tuning that works lower and higher on the fretboard. I gave this a shot and it sounded better to me. Going to keep playing with it but so far is good.
