    @yek - have you tried your hand at a Big Wreck preset? His tone seems so simple but so complex all the same. Suggestions on amps and cabs to try? No PT100s or Hedgehogs in the Ax8 firmware so I usually wind up on a 1987x. @groovenut good call on Brother Cane. Got to spend some formative time...

    I’m working on setting up my Ax8 to run 4cm with a 3rd Power British Dream mkII... works just fine with no significant noise, but there’s a pretty drastic tonal change. Have you had any issues with tone lose or do you use buffers?

    The 1987 has a low freq cut in the advanced menu of 10... while the PT sim was set at 220. I’m curious to play with that low end cut in the amp. Also, the saturation switch really kicks the amp into fun territory. I’m playing it through either: OH GNR raw and FMan OH3 mixes, the PT cabs from...

    I just posted this to the Axe III thread, but I am surprised how close Muudrock’s PT100 sounds to the 1987 treble. It’s has a tighter low end and more gain but very similar overall.

    I just played the PT100 sim thought the OH GNR raw and FMan (both OH3 mixes) and it KILLS! Oddly, though, it’s very similar to my 1987x treble, just less gain. When I hit the saturation switch on the 1987, it’s really close.

    What cab did you use with your Twin? And, not to derail the Fender Magic 6 conversation, but have you tried doing the That Pedal Show formula with an AC30? I set up my AC30 patch like Dan's and it just RIPS with pedals!!!

    That’s killer! The ACs don’t suck either on the new firmware. This weekend was all Morgan AC20 for me into the Ownhammer GNR bold. Just slayed clean to mean.
