Axe III seems to be having some issues booting up.

Axe III seems to be having some issues booting up.

You're not alone. My replacement just arrived today. First one had issues with loud popping between preset changes and all output levels going to max.

I just got one too. Waiting for my Axe to come back to put it through its paces! FWIW, it’s lighter than my EVH 5150 III combo! Ha!

Thanks! Appreciate that! This is definitely not how I'm used to learning riffs/licks/etc. I usually practice a riff or song a little bit each day for weeks before I'm comfortable with it. This is like cramming for a couple hours and hitting record! Haha, definitely not how I'm used to doing...

Would I be able to use the AX8 like this....

Nice! Now the question is, if I were to switch to my lead channel and wanted delay from the AX8 in the loop of the amp, is that still possible or no because I'm using connections needed for that with my preamp bypass you mentioned?

Could I use the FX8 to lower the volume of an amp....

Can't you stick a volume pedal in an amps effects loop and achieve the volume lowering? Although it's probably not ideal and certainly not the same as a hotplate would that be along the same lines as what I was suggesting the FX8 could do?
