    Like Chuk above, I've incorporated a Rocktron Banshee into my setup. There aren't that many occasions I get to use it, but it does a great job when I do!

    It's a Rockman MIDI Octopus used in conjunction with a relay box I built to bring stomp boxes in and out of the effects loop. Leftover from my old, pre-Axe-Fx rig where it was also used for channel switching on my Mesa Mark IIC.

    I use Audio-Technica ATH-M50s headphones, which are an older version of the ATH-M50x. They're decent and reasonably priced at around $150.

    I used an old Shure A95U Line Matching Transformer. It boosted the signal a little, but not enough to be useful.

    I've tried a line matching transformer with a mic on my 1st gen Axe-Fx II and it did not work too well (couldn't get a hot enough signal for my liking). Some of the ART project preamps should work pretty good.
