Odd cab block issue / very dull and congested tone

Reinstalling firmware doesn't help. It's been an issue before Quantum came out. A GEQ does help to some extent, but it doesn't really explain why IRs sound so different when loaded through a cab block vs live through CabLab. I'll try to get clips up ASAP, my computer isn't being cooperative...

Which Vox or other amp can get close to this 1965 Vox AC10 SRT head tone?

I wouldn't recommend it. After trying that amp I just had to go out and buy one. :)

AC20T lost its balls?

Sounds fine to me. I've got a real one and I use the AxeFX model fairly heavily and I haven't really noticed much of a change. But the ballsiness of the amp is really dependent on cab choice. I've found that on lower volume settings any cabs with Alnico Blues can be a little thin sounding...

Fractal Audio AMP models: CA Triptik (Carol-Ann Triptik)

Damn, this is a really nice IR combination. I never particularly cared for either on their own, but together there's really some kind of magic. Gets rid of that slightly blanketed nasal sound I've found these amps had with most other cabs.

Regarding the reverse delay... Is it a bug that it alternates between forwards and backwards, or is that the way it's intended to be? Every other reverse delay I've used just goes backwards. Is there any way to make it just reverse?

Congrats to Ghost ! Grammy winner and Fractal users ...

I really love the idea of clean vocals over heavier music, but man... To me this guy sounds like Ozzy Osbourne before puberty. Their musicality is absolutely awesome, but I wish they had someone with a more powerful clean voice fronting them. Edit: Can anyone imagine Ghost and Devin Townsend...

I owned a real Mark V for years and to be honest I really didn't feel it had all that much gain on tap unless you really cranked the treble and presence. .

I finally got to see the Helix in action at AES

I wonder how much the Helix was let down by the Line6 FRFR speaker? I've heard a Helix through a CLR and I thought it was leaps and bounds beyond anything Line6 has put out in the past. That said it still is nowhere near the Axe or Kemper in terms of sound and feel. I did like the UI...

Never get a good sound with Axe FX II

Just a couple thoughts: For Sweet Child you should be able to get a pretty good sound without double tracking. First thing I would do for that patch is change the cab. Unless you're running the same cab in the same slot as Fremen it won't sound anything like his patch. In my case I had a 1x10...
