    Axe 2, mfc101 and scenes are best friends for switching sounds. Eq and tonematch blocks are the secret sauce to copying tones(and cab block(s)) But...I'm truly getting tired of hearing the same old, tired blooze toans. Fractal can create tones never before recorded, just do it!

    Ares probably reset your Axe FX parameters. Go through all you stuff and find the changed culprit, should take you less than 5 minutes(maybe longer?). Possibly reinstall Ares?

    Funny, that's what they said about Bob Dylan. Sonically, it's a mix of the back side of an elephant and the scream of a banshee. Perfect. I can hear some phase in there, square wave(pure fuzz).

    Fractal Audio FM3 vs AX8 | Custom Presets

    Sounds like the AX8 needs a touch more low, resonant frequency in the cab block. The FM3 has more "punch" and "resonance" on the lower notes, maybe start in the cab block to match better. Or possibly use a post-cab block EQ? Izotope Insights Spectrogram will show where to shape the EQ.

    Headphones shall be the answer for me. If Windows 10 would spend some $$ on a os level driver we could do it, 512 is far too big a buffer to track with, I couldn't do it. AlGrenadine, what is your round trip latency at 512 buffer? It has to be 12ms or so isn't it? I can't do more than 7ms, 5ms...

    USB audio issue (Mac OS X)

    Try making an "aggregate" device in sound manager. Add the axe fx and choose it for recording and playback. OSX may be choosing the onboard sound card as playback when the AXE isn't powered on?
