Do we really need channels and scene controllers?

For everyone's interest, I do know exactly HOW it all works, I have owned an Axe FxII for seven years and have recently upgraded to a FxIII Turbo. I have done hundreds of gigs with the Fractal and I use a different preset for each song so I am more than qualified to make observations on the...

Do we really need channels and scene controllers?

Just an idea, if each scene had it's own set of parameters for every device in the chain then we could get rid of the channels and scene controllers completely. I find it really tedious having these multiple layers of control where I have to not only copy scenes around but also channels. We...

The best, most flexible rack build in my world!

I hear you, and if I ever have an issue that would be the first place I would look (I've had it through a patch for a year so far), but I'm far more concerned with someone tripping on my FASLINK cable and destroying the socket on the Fractal. And, yes folks are correct, the Boss wants the guitar...

The best, most flexible rack build in my world!

Hi Folks, I'm working on moving my AxeFxIII out of the main FOH rack and into it's own rack. We use an Allen&Heath Qu-SB, for FOH and monitoring, and I'm running wireless guitar, vocals and IEM. I want to be able to use the Axe and all the wireless and IEM systems without the Main FOH rack! This...

    Software FracPad III - iOS/Android/Mac/Win Editor for the Axe-Fx II/XL/XL+, AX8/FX8, Axe-Fx III and FM3/FM9

HI, sorry if this has been covered before but has anything changed in the last six months with the operation of FracPad regards connecting to the latest AxeFxIII etc. I tried to connect yesterday as I have done previously using my iPad Pro, MidiFire and the Yamaha BT-01. I start MidiFire and...

It's all VERY quiet on the FxIII USB MIDI Port!

Sorry, one more question, are the sysex request for program name and scene numbers the same as for the FxII messages?

It's all VERY quiet on the FxIII USB MIDI Port!

If I have to poll it! So be it! :-) Thanks, it is still an awesome machine!

It's all VERY quiet on the FxIII USB MIDI Port!

This is my (python) code that works perfectly on the FxII, whenever something changes on the FxII, it publishes a message, my code determines what type of message it is and what it needs to do with the change. The objective here is to have a system (my foot-pedal in this instance) that can send...

It's all VERY quiet on the FxIII USB MIDI Port!

Basically that the FxIII publishes a program change, scene change and channel change event on the USB port! Any type of 'something has changed' message would suffice as a trigger to allow external systems to query it for updated data.

It's all VERY quiet on the FxIII USB MIDI Port!

Hi Folks, now that I am fortunate enough to have an actual FxIII in my grubby little paws (and I love it!!! :-)), I am working on getting my custom controller pedal to play nicely with it! (and before you all shout 'GET A FC-12!', yes, it is a wonderful thing and does lots of fantastic things...

Can I edit a setlist via midi (preferably USB)

Thanks Yek, that means that my pedal will still work with the FxIII. With regards Bandhelper, I know you can use it's midi functionality to select presets, but I use it to export the setlist as a '.txt' file, then I transfer the text file from my phone to my controller pedal, via Bluetooth, when...

Can I edit a setlist via midi (preferably USB)

Hi Folks, I currently use a custom built pedal with my FxII to step through a setlist with a single button push. My setlist application is built into the footswitch and I can download the setlist from Bandhelper on my phone via Bluetooth. I am about to take delivery of my FxIII and would like to...

My Pi based Midi and setlist controller project.

UPDATE - I have the second prototype up and running with all the functions that I need working. I am waiting for two more footswitches, and I have not mounted the Midi connectors (I don't need them). Also waiting for a LCD screen to arrive. At this stage the top left two pushbuttons are 'Next...

    Arduino Axe-Fx control library

Fantastic work Tyson! Well done. I may have to hit you up for some info in the near future, I'm building a Raspberry pi, Python based controller, but I don't plan to implement any more than I need. The only info that I have not worked out yet is how to get the patch name and scene number when...

My Pi based Midi and setlist controller project.

I have considered the HDMI option to add a tele-prompt style lyrics display (not that I approve of such things, In my opinion, if you don't know the lyrics, the song is not ready for public performance!.. :-)). The reason I am going with the OLED style display is so that I can run the display...
