WHY is there an on\off choice to use gapless switching? CPU penalty? Why would you NOT want that switched on? I'm just looking at this thread first time, skimmed through 20 pages (pretty fast I admit) and I saw this question asked more than once but no answers (unless i missed it)

Mic positions are sampled at a fine spatial resolution. How? Proprietary method? Do you shoot 13 billion IRs to capture all possible mic positions, or do you shoot a reasonable number and then average between them somehow with EQ or other tricks? Or is it captured while the mic is being moved...

It would be cool to see Fractal make a "Liquid Channel" type device, for Studio Use.

How is this FM3 Discussion? :) My 2-bits: There are SO many more guitar players than studio producers. Not sure the market size justifies the effort, but sure I bet they could make a cool product.

I have a Neo CLR. For years I've wanted and wished I could be completely satisfied in the band practice room using nothing but the Fractal and the CLR. It's REALLY REALLY GOOD and very close now (since Cygnus), but still... not quite. I could easily live with it. Also, I'm a weekend band guy...
