Why does my unit have such low volume through my interface?

that may be fine for recording but I like to play live through my monitors.

Why does my unit have such low volume through my interface?

so in the following image you bring the circled slider all the way to the top? Doesn't that increase noise? If you leave things at default, do your patches hit at -12 db? https://ibb.co/n837MJn

Why does my unit have such low volume through my interface?

I didn't adjust anything for the PC audio. That's how it comes out with default settings.

Why does my unit have such low volume through my interface?

Input 3 and 4 do not have gain settings, only inputs 1 and 2 have gain knobs, but I don't want to plug it in to those, and I don't want to add extra gain from the interface.

Why does my unit have such low volume through my interface?

I have a Scarlett 6i6 2nd gen. I have the output 1 volume on the FM3 on max, set to stereo. Out1 to inputs 3 and 4 on the scarlett. I use the preset leveling meters to make sure everything hits right at the red lineor as close as possible. When I listen to Youtube, or spotify or any audio...

Using a Fryette Power Station and impedance curves?

Yes, power amp modeling is turned on. Like I said, I hear a difference when cab modeling is turned on and I'm running through monitors. But If I turn cab modeling off and run through the power amp through a real cab, I don't hear a difference.

Using a Fryette Power Station and impedance curves?

I've read around the forum, and in the wiki that when plugging into the Fryette Power Station that one should set the global impedance curve to "Resistive Load". Is this really necessary? Maybe I have bad ears but I honestly cannot hear the difference between any of the different impedance...

How would I plug the FM3 into a Fryette Power Station just for post amp effects?

If I just wanted to use the FM3 for post amp effects like delay and reverb, and I don't plan on using any of the drives, how would it work? Right now I have my guitar into my Marshall, then the Marshall speaker out into the Power Station, and the Power Station's speaker out to the cab. The...

Am I the only one who plays with the Room settings in the cab block cranked?

Room Level : 100% Room Reflections: 100% Room Diffusion: 50% Mic Spacing: 100% I don't know why but this is what I personally mean when I say "amp in the room" tone. I love playing with a tone that sounds like it's been recorded with the mic far away. It sounds more "real" and less...

Any way to replicate a Tremolo/Vibrato Bar/Bigsby effect with an expression pedal?

I play hardtail guitars, but always loved that chord shimmer that strat players add when they sustain a chord. Anyway to replicate this in the FM3? Ideally with an expression pedal where I can move the pedal forward to apply the effect? Here is an example: When he uses the bar to add slight...

    Giving fractal another shot

I use the pc a lot and don't want to have the FM3 running constantly if I just want to listen to music or watch youtube/movies.

    Giving fractal another shot

I guess so. Increasing the interface mixer fader to full says it's about 6 DB of extra gain if you max it out.

    Giving fractal another shot

This is a continuation of the following thread, which many thought was a troll post, until I clarified that I was legit : https://forum.fractalaudio.com/threads/owned-axe-fx-2-3-fm3-and-sold-them-all-couldnt-get-decent-tones-what-was-i-doing-wrong.179629/ So I was able to mess with my FM3 that...

Owned Axe FX 2, 3, FM3, and sold them all. Couldn't get decent tones. What was I doing wrong?

Any recommendations for headphones if I have to go that route? I've been looking at the DT-770's from BeyerDynamic.
