Advantage of 4cord method over straight into amp

SO what exactly is the advantage of using the 4 cord method as opposed to just pluging your axe 8 into the front end of a combo to just to use the effects of the axe 8?

Rotovibe/ Univibe sounds

Try putting a Face Fuzz , then a chorus(set it to dimension1 and mix at 40%) and then the phaser set to 40% mix, rate at 1.9 depth at 5.5 and tone at 10. then your amp and cab etc. works for me

Scene Change with External Switches

I have a very similar problem. I have my external switch set to toggle between scene 1 and scene 8( I don't remember how to set that up, and could use some advice on that actually). antway, when changing presets, I have to tap the switch twice for it to change scenes, but only the first time on...

I forgot how to get my external switch to change scenes in my ax8. I had it set up to toggle between 1 and 8. thanks

Rex, the key, at least for my unit which is fully up to date, is : when in the preset name screen, tap " exit/shift/store" and baddabing:)

I have tried numerous times. Reloaded latest firmware, which I already had. Have tried turning it off and back on and tried again. Still nothing at all happens when I press shift and then store

This absolutely does not work on my axe 8. At some point they changed how to do it. But I forgot and now I'm in a home for the criminally insane axe8 owners. If anyone knows the secret please please let me know so I can get out of this place😣

accessing the global menu on axe8

That doesn't work.😣 doesn't access the setup menu. It does nothing at all.

Axe 8 global memory access?

My axe8 is acting up. I can't access the menu /global /i/o , or utility. Any ideas. Also my tuner is not coming up any more when I hold down the designated footswitch.
