Things about the III you may have missed

I noticed channels - between scenes and channels the ability to drastically alter your sound at the touch of a switch with no lag and no dropouts. That seems huge!

I wouldn't go as far as to say bait and switch! It's progress, it's electronics. I have 2 complete rigs (the original AxeII serial #6! and an Axe8) right now and zero gigs :) Basically I have everything I realistically need twice over. Come to think of it, I have a beat to shit AxeFX Standard...

AX8 V6.00 Public Beta

I fixed this problem on Windows and Linux/Wine by simply making sure the AX8 is NOT plugged into the computer until its boot sequence has finished. Then I plug into the computer and can start AX8-Edit or FractalBot 100% of the time with no query timeout.

Drive pedals way too hot FW 5.01??

Back several upgrades ago (pre-quantum I think) my goto drives got tremendously hot. I'm using, for example, a Fat Rat with the drive at about .15 which seems weird to me. Get it up to .25 and over and it's a noisy mess. Have not installed the latest quantum yet, but if they are now even hotter...

Preset charging creators

i have found that other presets never sound the same on my rig. too many variables. the only preset i ever purchased was an amazing acoustic sim involving a tone match from AlGrenadine I would have had no means to create myself (still had to tweak for my rig). i have no strong feeling one way or...

AX Edit Timeout

Me too. I had some suggestions from Joe Rogers that seemed to help for a while, but it cropped up again and now I can almost never get AX8-Edit to work first time. Sometimes not even after 4-5 times shutting down AX8-Edit, restarting AX8, reconnecting USB cable and restarting AX8-Edit. Sometimes...

FracTool - for power users only

I converted some AX8 presets to my AxeFx II and they came over way loud and lighting all the red lights. Thing is it seems I have to reduce them to extraordinary lengths to get them to stop. For example, I have a simple Fender Twin preset, just amp and cab created on AxeFx and the amp block...

Can you neutralize a cab somehow?

a pound or so of tannerite should neutralize pretty much any cab out there.
