    Well I hear it, but the monitors being brighter makes sense. When in doubt, I usually try to simplify the signal chain as much as possible, so I would defeat the PEQ and try to get the right sound using only the AMP +/- CAB

    Without hearing a recording, your problem makes me think of digital clipping on the outputs. If you're playing into a real cab plus using cab simulation, you're getting twice the roll-off on certain frequencies, so that might explain why you think the fuzziness is attenuated.     Not 'those' settings, the global control settings for ADSR1-2/envelope/LFO, etc. It's the other major half of how the envelope opens and closes. In the patches, I only see things such as slope, start, end, dampening etc.

    Just ran into something that I need the Ultra for. Anyone here already gone through upgrading from a standard? I was thinking I would just get the Ultra and sell the Standard later, so I would not have any downtime. Do the Standards sell reliably off the boards/ebay?

    Idk, I'd have to call bs on that. It's a digital device that models an inordinate amount of parameters to give you the dynamic feel of a tube, but it should not change over time (as it heats up for example). However, it *is* much more likely that your ears are changing as they tire over time.

    Yea it is a lot of muting and I'm also strumming hard on the low strings after the envelope really closes to accentuate the mids. I've found that If I don't "play" the filter, it never really sounds dramatic enough. I have actually started to like this attribute and by merely changing timing...

    There is no other guitar on the backing track, but yea, unless you listen to the tail end where there are only drums, you might not know where the low end begins or ends.
