If decent protection can be built in a plug extension, have amp builders never thought about building one inside the amp ?

I have a 1U strip, but this might be interesting. It would prevent me from buying the whole thing over again : real good hard case for flights, soft one for portability, I've got it all in the right dimensions now, but if I have to upgrade to a III at some point I'll have to start again. Also if...

Since we have a 3U rack instead of 2... I don't know why it would be different to other units but maybe someone has some more detailed technical knowledge that can help us decide.

Is it me or is the Axe fx 3 aesthetically unpleasing?

I imagine big companies might employ people just to design the aesthetics, so to keep a democratic price, another side would suffer, like reliability or components quality for instance.

I do not need a new AxeFx personally. But I wanna say good move from FAS well done, I think those are the right improvements. 1) Despite the different outputs on the II there was a bit of juggling when trying to do different things there. 2) Choosing IN and OUT points was desperately missing...

What will you do when no more firmware updates?

I would protest! What would be the reason for that? Mk1 & 2 are pretty much the same machines as Xl's right? Then not updating them would be unfair... It's not just about the sound, it's about the effects that evolve, and the whole community that evolves with it.. No to mention the sound...
