L6 Powercab 112+ is the real deal

I'll chime in as a Powercab+ owner and previous owner of a CLR, Xitone, Friedman, EV, DXR10, and Matrix FR10. The Powercab is legit in flat mode (FRFR), sounds as good as any I've had so far. Maybe not perfectly flat, but it sounds big and full with a good IR. Speaker mode does a very good job...

I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, if you like all the parameters that’s awesome. I loved my AX8 and got some great sounds but I’m an inherent tweaker so it wasn’t good for me.

Line 6 HX Stomp w/ 3rd Party Impulse Responses vs Fractal

I just bought a Helix floor and the PRS Archon model with the OH BOG 212 V30/M25 mix is the best amp sim I've played to date, that includes the Kemper, Atomic, and AX8. No real amps have 1000 parameters to tweak so why do amp sims? They all sound good and I'd be content owning any of them.

No doubt it will be a huge seller, no matter what the crowd thinks of L6. Innovative and leading edge to say the least. Had someone else thought of it first, nearly every guy on this site would buy one.;):rolleyes...

Guitar Setup Help Needed

Sometimes pickup magnetic pull can cause trouble with setting intonation, usually more in single coils but HB's is not unheard of. Try lowering the pickups while you're intonating.

Andrew Hunt and Matrix FR10/FR12

I had an FR10 and didn't notice any hiss. I'd set it at about 4 and use the AX8 level control to get the volume I wanted. I moved to a Xitone wedge but I must say I miss that FR10. It really sounded excellent and I could carry it with 2 fingers.

Made this preset to work with my HSS Strat. JB Jr/Fat50/Fat50. Clean (S1), crunch (S2), more crunch (S3) and lead (S4). Try it out and let me know what you think. I'm running through a Xitone 12" wedge. I'm a fan of 3rd party IR's but I tried messing with the stock for this one.

DIY Fret Leveling & crowning

Ya, it's easy, simple as that. Just buy the right tools and watch a couple tutorial videos. I am assuming you're somewhat mechanically inclined and like to work with your hands. If that's the case, fly at it!!
