If you carry the Axe Fx III around anyway, I also don't see a point in keeping both, unless you want an extremely flexible backup system in cases the Axe gets damaged somehow. In Germany, I see FM3 on the used markets for 1150-1250 Euros, with the new price being 1450. So the resale loss is not...

Yeah, I went down that rabbit hole in the past, glad I got out in time... Thanks, glad you like it! I sold my Axe Fx III on Saturday. So now the switch is complete. I am really digging the FM3, and what I wrote earlier about playing more still applies. Weird, I don't get it, but it's a good thing.

UPDTAE: I did the switch. Ordered an FM3 from G66, with the safety of knowing I can return it if I am not satisfied, and compared it then with the Axe Fx III. Lessons learned: 1. I could easily translate all my presets to the FM3, and indeed they are all so simple that I can run the reverb...

That sounds good, thanks for pointing it out! No, apart from guitar and bass I only connect my mic pre, a Warm Audio Tone Beast TB12, which has XLR outputs and balanced TRS. So I can just run a TRS cable from it into input 2 of the FM3. Otherwise it would also not be a problem, I have some XLR...

Another vote for this. FAS-FX Reverb is my go-to-reverb, I prefer it to all the others I have (Waves Abbey Road Plates and Chambers, CLA Epic, Izotope Phoenixverb, Slate VSC, Liquidsonics Lustrous Plates, and several more). The only one I like almost equally is Korneffs Micro Digita Reverberator...
