    Is your Axe3 sat on top of the amplifier? Sometimes proximity to the transformers can add hum to the signal, even when using humbuster cables.

    Personally I wouldn't nerf or avoid this feature to suit the FM3. For example, the big knob is the one to use.. not the smaller encoder.     Go to either layout view. Go to a block to highlight it. Push big rotary encoder. (nothing currently assigned to this command from what I can see) Block is selected. Use left/right/up/down keys to move the block around the layout. Press encoder again to drop it.
