Logic Pro X and Axe fx 2 MIDI Preset Change

This is in theory for me as I have not tried it. Even without the MFC, you should create a midi track from the axe fx, enable record. Now record ALL scene changes while NOT playing guitar but physically doing it on the axefx. That should record all midi commands (drive on, scene changes, etc)...

Cheap(ish) audio interface with S/PDIF?

The next thing to consider around $199 would be this Behringer interface: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/FCA610 6 inputs and 10 outputs, including spdif.

This is how I am using my ax8 now: I have the ax8, then a vocalist Gtx that I only use for my vocal harmonies and effects, volume pedal and other effect pedal. Digitech trio to practice and some jamming and line 6 g10 for wireless. I only connect 3 cables for practice or a gig: microphone...
