My AX8 Still sounds great

Mine serves me well. I bought my second hand to replace my axe fx 2 rig which resides at the home studio. I also take with me a backup analogue pedal board to every show and have never used it. I don’t mind if you don’t like my labels 😆

Getting a user cab from Axe 2 to AX8

These are the Ir I made if you want them. speaker is a G12 H 150 Redback. The Mic is an AKG C414 in a UA 4710D tube Mic pre set to solid state, not tube.

Thank you very much, as simple as this. Axe cab manager right-click and export to desktop, open ax8 edit and cab manager, drap files to desired location.

Getting a user cab from Axe 2 to AX8

So the closest I’ve got is using fractal bot in receive mode, choosing specific Cab. My user cab is in slot 17 so I write 17 and I get this warning that asks me to choose a valid cab number between 1-100. Fractal bot is connected to axe 2 through usb and I’m able to do a backup of everything...

Can the Axe-Fx II sustain?

I’m my experience. You don’t need any fancy presets or compressors or effects. Just make sure the amp or distortion block you are using produces mostly even harmonic distortion. Drive block 4 knob tube driver into a clean amp block is what I use and my telecaster starts to resonate on its own...

Been thinking about getting a Matrix power amp but.....

Something to consider is the speakers you are going to use. It is advised to match the speakers to the matrix amp. In normal stereo operation (per channel basis) it wants to provide up to 150watts into a 16 ohm load and 300 watts into a 8 ohm load. This is the advise from the manual anyway...

Recording AxeFxII via SPDIF to my audio interface

It seems your interface is sending to its output speakers the sound from the armed track and the sound from your input. the direct/monitor mix Knob on your interface should take care of this
