Skeuomorphic or not?

I have no preference. I'd say it depends on what the software aims to do and if it is practical. I like the fractal audio way though. It is matching with its domain, in my opinion. Expert hardware after all, with tons of exposed variables to tweak.. if everything was made to look like its real...

Bug? Q7 beta 2 mixer block gets scrambled values when saving preset

Update. I got the preset to save correctly without scrambling any blocks after simplifying the preset further. It's a weird problem, because the presets work fine until saved and reloaded, so Axe FX II mk1 has memory to hold everything while the preset is up, but not to save and load...

Thanks! Sounds like it could be the answer, I removed a block and saved it, the mixer saved good, but my volume block got scrambled. Will keep simplifying to see if i can get it to save correctly.

Here are the correct values in the mixer block. And The preset is saved according to the edit status.. but when i go to another preset and return to it i get scrambled values as in the screenshot in the first post.

BTW. Did you try changing input impedance settings on your axe fx-patch to see if that changes things? In this thread VegaBaby suggests using 1M as a starting point when using a real Fuzz pedal. I think that's the default setting when using auto, unless you have a drive block or something else...

Because you are running a real fuzz, shouldn't the interaction between the guitar pickups and fuzz be fine regardless if there is a buffer after the fuzz? Could it not be that the difference between the real amp and axe fx is caused by how the axe fx instrument input normalizes the input signal...

Thanks for checking it out atquinn! Yes.. It really is crazy fuzzy! 230K+Cap sounds a lot better with the PI. Now there is some workable string definition. Still super intense for drive at 0.2!

For sure real big muffs are very fuzzy, I'm not ruling out user error, but the values I need to dial it to seem so extreme compared to every other drive. On the defaults it's like a nuclear bomb.

Pi Fuzz Gone Mad?

Here's the preset. The fuzz is on scene 3. I'm still trying different values etc.. can't seem to get it to sound normal within the expected range.
