    Bolt on vs set-necks

I never had to replace a neck or take one of to have it repaired. I like the construction and since Chris Larkin's guitars all had set necks I went with that. Except for one for which I wanted a neck through (the red one) and IMHO he did a bang up job. I have two Kramer Stagemasters from '89...

Why no discount for badly scratched and rusted guitars?

I wish they developed a finish that fades fast or scratches easily. So you'd be actually have the ability to relic it yourself just by playing it. The polyurethane finish is hard as a rock and won't thin out unless you play with wristbands of sandpaper.

At least he did it with his own sweat

It's actually pure genius. If you have hardware that's rusting, you don't have to throw it away and loose money any more. Put it on a relic and charge twice as much :p

Story concluded: trying out a high-end acoustic

A couple o years ago, I read on this forum about a guy who went to a guitar shop and tested lots of acoustic guitars blindfolded. And he didn't walk away with the most expensive one.

Advice On Controlling Sound/Levels In Preset With Different Pickup Guitars

Same here. I start with the same template but choose drive/amp/cab to suit the different types. I have different presets for: Lo Gain HB's (SD Al Pro II,..) Hi Gain HB's: (SD JB,...) Single cuts with SD '59's Strat Tele Semi I went with the different channel per type but since I got more...

Axe-Fx III Firmware Release Version 16.00 "Cygnus"

Yep. Turned on the bright switch and turned the value of the cap up to the max - no (audible) change

Axe-Fx III Firmware Release Version 16.00 "Cygnus"

It's normal it's not shown on the Authentic page. But I thought if it's on the Ideal page, you would be able to use it. AFAIK Friedmans don't have a bright switch either but if I turn it on, I can hear the change.

The Bright cap on the HiPower amps doesn't seem to do anything. Anyone notice this?
