Used Mk I (w/ a return window) + fan hum

Personally I'd return it while you're still within your window and wait another 10 weeks for Black Friday when the deals will be back on a Mk II. Might only be an extra $2-300 which I think is worth if for the extra presets and new IR functionality. "But who really needs 1024 presets?!" Well...

Clock Question

It's a dead horse topic. I first raised this issue back in 2009 when I got an Ultra. It didn't change with the AxeII and 10 years later it hasn't changed with the AxeIII. Not enough people care about it for it to be a commercial concern. As Cliff said recently, if you really need that...

FWIW it's not just Fractal Audio. Just looking around at the gear I have in my studio, my Korg Kronos is locked at 48KHz, Roland Jupiter 80 at 44.1KHz (while the very similar Integra-7 will do up to 96KHz), Fractal AxeFX III at 48KHz, UA OX at 44.1KHz, and the Kemper was locked at 44.1KHz for...

Logic Pro X and Axe-Fx III compatibility?

This is nothing to do with the Axe-FX - just coincidence. It's a disk data error. Go to Disk Utility and run this on your Lacie drive and it should fix it:-

Nothing beats the "TV mix" Cabs, not even UltraRes (Opinion)

Does anyone know how the TV Mix was created - what mics, what distance and position, and what ratios? I would love to try that formula on other cabs.

No good for those of us who mix ITB (ie inside Logic/Cubase/PT). I like to put together IR mixes in the context of a track and then save the result for future use on the AxeFX. Can't do that without the .wavs :(
