Yes it does. So if I understand what your saying you want a replacement preset amp to stay with the settings as the tweaked amp in the saved preset...correct? I don't believe that is possible. You would have to do the tweaking that you did in the saved preset manually whenever yo change that...

Why can't you just change the amp in the preset? Alternatively you can make a copy of the preset to a new location and change amps till you're hearts content without messing up the original preset.

I have had two units also that sounded differently. I believe at the time one was an MkII and the other was XL+. Try this test though. Create the presets from scratch using no saved blocks, and build them up the same and see if they sound the same. The reason why I say no saved blocks is because...

How to transfer AX8 presets to AxeFx II XL

Specifically you need to export or save the preset you need and then import it with Fracool and the Axe FX will open up the AX8 preset.

Bad USB port

I had this issue this summer. I suggest if at all possible contacting support and sending it in to them to repair. They do a tremendous job in quick turnaround and then you know that it is good to go!! I think I had mine back within a week.

Axe-Fx II XL+ Backup

Back the first Axe FX up fully and then restore it into the 2nd unit. The time out is a connection problem. Check the other software like Axe Edit and fractool to see if they can connect with the 2nd unit. I'd also check the I/O, Utility and Control sections to see if there are differences...

I lost all my presets on the Axe FX II

Well here's a word to the wise....ALWAYS....back up before doing any firmware upgrades, or anything else!! In general always have a current backup just in case!!

FRFR amps for live stage performances

I use a CLR/AX8 combo and that can get extremely loud! Two of them can be crazy loud if you want them to be. It sounds to me like you have an internal setting like the master volumes either in the patches or most likely in your global output level set too low. Does this happen on all patches...
