    Happens to me sometimes too, but it always works out when I try again. I would suggest disconnecting any external controllers while updating (MFC, volume pedals etc), should fix it for you :)

    I wouldn't worry too much about it. Happens pretty much every time on the first try when I update, second time always works fine - been like that for me for a long time, probably around FW10 or so ;P

    It's kinda hard to understand what you're asking here, but from what I gather you're connected to an amp head + cab. In that case you would generally want to have Power Amp Modeling and Cabinet Modeling disabled, but as with everything related to sound, you'll just have to let your ears guide...

    It's certainly not a waste of time, it will work great for you in that setup. That being said, there will be potential for a greater variety of sounds when using an FRFR solution and Cab IRs with the Axe.

    Ditto, got 81/89's in my PRS, sounds great through the Axe, so something's fishy with your guitar fo'sho. From your description is definitely sounds like the pups aren't getting power, so try the suggestions from previous posts :)

    Can you post your preset? Do you have any blocks in parallell with your amp block? If so, check the bypass state of those blocks. Chances are it's set to 'Through' - this will result in what you describe. Setting a blocks bypass state to 'Mute' will ensure that no signal passes through the...

    USB Issue - horrible noise

    Check the CPU load on your patches, you will experience crackling if this goes above 92-93%. Your patches may be fine without a USB connection because the USB connection itself contributes about 5% load on the CPU.
