Axe FX II (FW19.00) vs Positive Grid Amp Match

The 2nd sound (I assume its Bias) has really REALLY bad (phase) cancellations. so far I'd say NO, not a good match.

Any great Zilla Cab IR's out there?

News: I bought a 2x12 with V30 today - as they are brand new I'll burn them in some time and THEN I'll swap them with the Creambacks in my Zilla and shoot some IRs of Zilla Super Fatboy with V30 and with Creambacks. =)

Any great Zilla Cab IR's out there?

:D I have a Zilla Super Fatboy with Creambacks and planned on shooting some IRs for quite some time (longer than having that cab). Already did a few of a Marshall 1960BX but those were just test captures shot inside my living room. The next will be done either in a studio and proper live room...

Mic for horn section: Rode NT1 or ?

For single horns I really like an MD421 or RE20 too but Yek is asking about a horn section (probably 2 maybe sometimes more? ppp?) so I'd definitly choose a condenser. If it's within a really loud band you should think about close micing individually, otherwise a SDC or if adequate (not too...

If that horn section is only 2 players I'd definitly use a SDC (small diaphragm condenser)! IMHO it all comes down to what else is in the rehearsal room playing at what volume. If you want to go the Rode route there is the NT3 which is awesome (we use it live at a bigger venue in this area...

Studio One all the way! You can try it for free with really nice host plugins, I'm using the pro version now for a few years.

I honestly have to disagree with you Stillbruch. Next step would just be a preamp and that's it. No need for a cheap interface, the Axe already is an interface. And it has far superior AD converters than cheap interfaces - so you don't need a second interface as long as you don't need more than...

Wow nice sound! Like the overall mix - guitars are killer! Would you mind sharing the patch and cab recipe? Have the V32 and always looking for new mixes and inspiration for amp settings.

Did an IR collection of a Mesa 4x12 today!

I absolutly can't get enough of the first clip..... it's on repeat right now - killer tone, nice balance of the spectrum. 2nd is cool too but too dark for my taste.
