No, I want to use the axe as an interface. I don't want to insert the ipad into the axe's grid, I know how to do that. What I want to do is to use the axe fx as an irig hd for example. Guitar in axe fx and from axe fx's usb i/o to ipad's lightning i/o. Then use the apps on the ipad and monitor...

Has anyone tried to use the axe fx II as an i/o interface for ipad (lightning) using the cck? It would save me some money if I didn't have to buy a seperate interface just to plug in my guitar etc to my ipad. I know there are some cheap interfaces (e.g. irig) but I want a cleaner digital signal...

Axe-fx II/XL Touch Sensitivity

I'm not sure what exactly you mean when you say touch sensitivity, but have you tried disabling the input noise gate? Compared to my axe fx standard, the II has far more touch sensitivity (well, according to what I call touch sensitivity)

neck pick up issues with axe fx / is it just me?!?!

Ok, first of all, I'm not trying to defend Cliff or anyone, but I think that what he meant when he said "nonsence", was that the axe itself cannot possibly do what you suggest (boost or cut volume depending on pickup selection). That was the nonsence part: That it doesn't make sence (non-sence)...

buzzing noise/hum after update to FW 13

Have you started using any other new equipment lately? It could be a ground loop if not everything in the chain is not plugged in the same wall socket. If you have other devices plugged in different sockets in the same room as the axe, try to plug them in the same socket as the axe (if possible)...

Taming the Mark Day VH pre set

Try the same preset but change the amp to Plexi 50 Jump. Volume 1 around 1 to 2 o' clock, volume 2 around noon, bass around 1 o'clock, middle, treble, presence and master dimed. Use the TV mix or any good greenback IR and adjust the low pass/hi pass in the cab block to taste. Reduce the bright...

Thnaks Cliff. Worked like a charm. It just took me so long to report back because I had to use midi and the update process (including the time it took me to take the axe out of the rack etc) took about half an hour.

Who Wants to Test Some New Firmware? (12.03 Beta 5 UPDATE)

Tried to update from 12.02 to the 12.03 beta 5 and while the axe was in the programming state, the screen went blank and had some strange noise comming from the speakers. Turned the axe off and after 5 secs on again and now everything is stuck with all lights on etc. That had happened to me...

That's good to know Cliff, thanks for the reply! I actually owned a 100w super lead plexi from '73 but hadn't noticed this behaviour. But, to be fair, that amp had a trany replaced, so maybe that's why I couldn't hear the ghost notes. I had read before in another thread a similar "problem" and...

No, it's not a matter of technique. If I mute every other string and just play at the 12th fret on the D string, I can clearly hear what appears to be a "ghost" note in the background, which is not exactly a note, but like a steady overtone that you can listen for as long as you let the note...

Like I said, can't record anything at the moment, or upload presets. After tweaking the sag, the problem goes away, I just started the thread in case someone else is having the same problem AND to check if this is normal behaviour for this amp model or not.
