FW11 IIC+ vs Mark V-IIC+ - Not getting good results (Solved)

If I understand the original post correctly, the slave out into the Axe was the preferred sound. So if there was a problem in his signal chain, wouldn't correcting it just further improve the tone/feel of the Mark V over the Axe model? I'll be curious to see..

I have had pretty much the same experience, Sean. Difference in feel, attack, and distortion character. The single notes, in particular, sound slightly thinner. The closest I've gotten is running into the Mark V FX return. It's just not quite the same. I notice the pretty much the same...

bare knuckle pickups???

I've got a Nailbomb set in my Strandberg. Very versatile pickup! Coil-Splits well, dynamic, and cleans up with the volume knob. I play (or at least toy around with) most styles of music. It always sounds great!

Loving my AC30 tones with V7!

Sorry... I honestly didn't even save the patch. It was so easy to make I wasn't concerned. Its so easy to get great tones these days with the Axe-FX II!

I had only played though my power amp & cab since V7's release. I'm really digging my clean direct tones even more now too! Just a basic Ac30 patch with some delay..

Anyway to preserve 6.02 tones in 7?

I feel the same. Very drastic change, probably for the better. But, I was also completely happy with a couple patches. Any hope of tweaking them back?

Yes it was the cable. Problem solved. Running a 15ft now with no issues.

Hmm. I guess it could be my cables.. I've tried a couple though... Any settings or maybe a higher quality cable may be in order? To be clear. I can use Axe Edit just fine.

Axe-fx Crackling with longer USB cables.

I've had no problems recording or playing with monitors with short (2-3ft) USB cables. But with longer (10ft +) I have crackling and noise issues. I just want to be able to record while keeping my axe connected to the rest of my rig and sitting atop my 4x12. Is it possible to use longer USB...

6.0 vs 5.07

6.0 made the Axe-Fx so much more usable for me. Having owned or play a large number of the real amps, I REALLY appreciate how much truer the models are (both in sound and control response). I have always been a big Mesa/Boogie user and only since 6.0 have I been able to get precisely accurate...

Tuner... Grrr

I know people have probably already brought this up. Since 6.0 I can't tune reliably at all. So jumpy, erratic and inconsistent that it is effectively inaccurate. I always have to tweak it by ear after. I'm sure it will be fixed soon, but any suggestions in the mean time?
