New v.10 UBER, impressions, opinions?

It makes me very happy to see this new uber model, and it does have that signature uberschall growl where the old one didn't IMO. Still trying to figure out the best mic configuration for it though, thats something that gives me a gigantic headache. Any suggestions?

Difficulty getting pure, undistorted signal in Ultra

my guess is you're clipping the output of your active pickups' preamps. try reducing the pickup height. great thing about axe fx is you dont really need to worry about the output drop in doing so, just turn the input 1 knob up a bit.

Theres another thread in the general discussion explaining the wet/dry/wet, but i'll briefly explain. And BTW i didnt really mean wdw would be better for heavier music, just that (IMO) a lot of heavy rock/heavy metal tone is having loud cabs on stage in addition to the mic'd sound coming out of...

indeed. i've never actually tried it so take this with a massive grain of salt.. more like a whole crystal, but i'd be tempted to say if you're into heavier styles, a wet dry wet rig with a 4x12 as the "dry" might be a tad better than frfr. or just into board, and tap off into a 4x12. just...

no news man, no news. been sending schems tho. found a complete fireball and a 5150 III... a think another guy sent a triamp schem IIRC as well.

that would make the output mono. in iether event L and R will be the exact same signal. sum, obviously, means both the L and R axe channel are summed and go to both outputs. copy L to R would mean the right channel is irrelevant and whatevers coming out of axe left will now be coming out of both...

lol. BTW for the krank enthusiasts - the biggest difference between the krankenstein and the rev is the kleen channel. The gain channel is very very similar. If a krankenstein and rev side by side with all controls the same sound different, its probably the eminence ledgends vs texas heats...

glad i'm not the only one who likes the kranks. the krank kleen channel is ripped directly off of a fender amp IIRC, but i do not remember which fender amp (if i'm even remembering correctly). really glad people are with me on this one, a new uber model would save me from the desire to spend...

now how would that look with the splawn still in, but an atomic on either side and the rack is gone except power conditioner and axe fx? i've been kinda thinking about various ways to thicken up my tone.. like using a different cab on the detuned signals than the dry one for example, that sort...
