    Amp models that surprised you

    Recently, for me, it's been pushing the FAS Crunch with different drives. The FAS models are overlooked WAY too often. Of course the Dyna Cabs too. Most my presets are slowly changing over to those. Funny thing is I wasn't a fan of Dyna Cabs at first.

    Best way to hear the "pop" is to be on a clean scene, strike a big full chord and then press the SAME scene footswitch button several times. It will "pop" with every press. I can reproduce on Factory Presets.

    Same here but to me it sounds kinda like a feedback loop. It only displays the behavior when the signal is feeding the rotary block when you turn it on.

    Playing a real amp after a long break…

    I've got a AX3 Turbo along with a 5150III 50wt and a Revv D20 (with pedals). I mostly play the AX3 but the Revv D20 is a close second. I don't think it's a latency thing for me, it's more that "feel" thing. Who knows, latency may be involved here! ; )

    I use a combo amp stand but flip the "posts" around so the longer sides are under the rack case. It's sturdy enough that I don't worry.
