Thanks...I'll get the serial double checked with Diezel. The Diezel rep at the time said it was a MK II model. I had no idea it should have Herbert Mk2 on the front panel.

FW Q9.1 - Plexi 50w Jump - ROCK MIXTEST

I have a fender hss strat too and I find the stock humbucker lacking in the highs. IRC from playingy mates guitar with Seymour Duncan's in, they are quite bright sounding PU's. Perhaps an EQ infront of the amp with the highs boosted may help?

Communication Timeouts

I found the preset to be the cause of my Communication Timeout message. Having made sure I was on the latest version of Axe-Edit and Q8.01, I went to Preset > Clear Preset, then built a fresh preset from scratch and the timeouts went away. Not tried my old presets yet to re-test and see if the...

Unity Gain with Palm Mutes

For me, big spikes in palm mutes is a sign that I've got slightly too much bass dialed in. This easily catch me out if I am dialing in tones at low volumes or on headphone/monitors that are lacking in bass response. Try backing off the bass and see if things improve, but obviously if it is...
