My original post was requesting a video from Mark - Mark makes good videos. Mark said that he used the FM3 with his Friedman amp which and that is exactly what I want to do. I want to hear the sound of the amp (exactly). To gauge how the FM3 performs as an effects unit - how pure the process...

Do you leave a 1U cooling space above your AXE FX III??

RME is considered to be a good outfit but they gave directions to leave a rack space empty above and below the original RME UFX...

Check the RME Total Mix to see if you unknowingly turned on any of the built in effects - such as EQ or Dynamics. And check to find the best input level settings.

AX8 @ Nylon string guitar

I just submitted my order for the AX8 so I don't have the unit as yet. I'm wondering if there are any patches or amps to start with when plugging in a Cordoba nylon string Flamenco guitar.

Did you notice that he has his guitar tuned down to "D" in that video - which gives a perception of more depth and smoothness than a Guitar tuned normally to "E" would have. (Was that done on purpose or ...)

Ultra - Input Problem

"Problem Solved"...I tried resetting the system parameters - powering the unit off & on - reloading the firmware; none of those things fixed the problem. What fixed it was disconnecting the unit from the AC socket and plugging it back up...
