    Your current fav Marshallesque amps?

The Plexi is a misunderstand beast. When I first began to play guitar in the 80's, I taught the plexi tone was that hair metal tone. In fact, it was the modded plexi tone every guitar hero of that era would pay their amp guru to get. A raw plexi don't have that much gain, think Angus Young or...

    Your current fav Marshallesque amps?

The more the master volume is set high, the less bass you should add, especially on the Plexi models, and the drive should be minimal as well as you get your gain from the power amp or otherwise it can get flubby

    Your current fav Marshallesque amps?

The Splawn Quickrod model has a great Marshall hotrod tone, really tight. The Revv purple 1 with the gain around 4 has a great Marshall tone as well. The JVM orange OD-1 is another great Marshall, but it has an insane amount of gain, it will sound over compress unless you set the gain around...

What a journey! ( FM3 VS Kemper content)

This is the cab IR only, it's not a preset. Enjoy!

I am sitting on the fence with my review. AX8 to FM3 (EDIT, I have climbed down from the fence now..)

My advice would be to never judge a unit by it’s presets. The easiest way in your situation would be to choose the same amp and cab IR you have on your best AX8 patch to compare with the FM3. I had the AX8 and it’s not that far behind the FM3 in terms of tone. But The feel is way better with the...

What a journey! ( FM3 VS Kemper content)

Sure did! While good tone is still subjective, these good comments helps to validate my decision.

What a journey! ( FM3 VS Kemper content)

From Friedman website: Dave Friedman’s favorite 4×12 cab in bare wood. This is Dave’s primary workshop cab and has been used to voice his amplifiers since the very beginning. It’s fitted with four 6402 Greenback speakers and was captured with an SM57 and R-121 for a nice balance of cut and body

What a journey! ( FM3 VS Kemper content)

I’m not sure as you have to buy the IR-X to have acces to this IR, this is not available elsewhere. I don’t want to break any rules

What a journey! ( FM3 VS Kemper content)

I've been a long time Fractal user, from the Axe Fx Ultra, II, AX8, Axe Fx III and FM3. For the last few years, I've been going on and off between the Kemper and FM3. I'm not playing live anymore, I'm only playing in my home studio through headphones or studio monitors. The Kemper is a great...

Does anyone use there fm3 with a amp?

You want to plug the FM3 into the effet loop return of your amp (power amp in) in order to bypass the preamp section of your amp. Otherwise, even with preamp gain at zero, the preamp section is active. Also, make sure you bypass the power amp modeling and cab simulation of the FM3 with this...

Can you Velcro FM3 to a Pedaltrain board?

I put the adhesive stickers under the 4 end caps and it stays on the the pedal train board rock solid. It works for me!

On your PC, you need to open the sound option and select the Axe FX III as your default playback system.

Does anyone land on a single IR or IR blend for live use?

It would be a sound man nightmare to use different IR, especially during a song. Changing IR means a significant change in EQ so you could easily get lost in the mix while going from a clean to a dirty patch using a different IR. 99% of all my patches use the Leon Todd TV Mix 2 IR, for clean...
