No USB cable in the box, right?

It might be faster and easier to order one from Amazon for less than $10.

Negative results playing my FM9 through a Blues JR.

You may be better off building some presets without amps or cabs to use your FM9 as an effects pedal board into the front of that amp. Keep it simple for rehearsals.

    It's Complicated. Then, OFM9G.

You don't have to tell us you're getting older if you use Tony Randall as a reference.

    4CM Observations

My FM9 is like a match made in heaven for my RedPlate Magica. I also use the Voodoo Lab Control Switcher. I'm using humbuster cables per Fractal guidance and there's no noise, tone suck, noticeable latency ... just great tone and almost unlimited options. I made a copy of my main preset and set...

    Talk me off the ledge

Happy you sorted out the noise issues. This is exactly what I love about 4CM. You have almost unlimited options in amp tones, effects chains, etc. and everything is right at your feet a few clicks away. And to my ears, running through a tube power amp makes all the difference in tone and feel...

    Talk me off the ledge

I have presets that are designed for using my amp's preamp and then other presets that are set up using the same 4CM connections running a Fractal preamp into my amp's power amp section. So it's a simple preset change. Would that work for you? Or is it essential that both options exist as scenes...

    Talk me off the ledge

With more than 50 years of playing guitar, I base my opinions on reality and experience, not some imagined "math". While I have not experienced a single failure you describe (apparently @Rumbletone has not either), potential failure is real and possible with gear of any type. Although it's rare...

    Talk me off the ledge

I'm confused. How is your argument here regarding pedalboards related to anything written here by @Deadpool_25? Or anyone else for that matter? The primary discussion in this thread seems to be about using the FM9 in 4CM as opposed to running direct to FRFR or the board. You then indicate that...

    Talk me off the ledge

I understand why you and many others feel this way, but the best solution is relative to what each of us feels is "worth it" for our own situation. A few thoughts: For those who prefer using an amp in a live situation, 4CM is simply replacing the pedalboard with a modeler. I made up a snake...

    Talk me off the ledge

A few thoughts: Some players are very happy with the tones of their amp and enjoy using a top-quality modeler for its effects. I find it amazing to have almost unlimited high-quality effects in a compact pedalboard with no wiring and noise issues. I also love having the amazing flexibility to...

    Talk me off the ledge

I'm running my FM9 4CM with my RedPlate Magica and it is dead silent. Not even a tiny bit of noise added and no impact on the tone of the amp at all. If this is happening with multiple amps and you're sure cables aren't the issue, then it appears there's something wrong with your FM9.

4 cable method FM9 turbo problems fixed yet?

I don't have time to read this entire thread, but I'm using my FM9 in 4CM with my RedPlate Magica and it's amazing. I use Humbuster cables as described in the user manual and have no noise, no noticeable latency, and unbelievable tones and flexibility. I also set up a Voodoo Lab Control Switcher...

    4CM w/ Humbuster Cables

Looking forward to hearing your experience. I'm still amazed every time I fire this rig up. I set up a master preset for 4CM with two clean scenes, two crunch scenes and two lead scenes so I have them all on the floor with FM9. I can easily open up effects view to play around with delays...

    4CM w/ Humbuster Cables

I'm using my FM9 in 4CM with my RedPlate Magica with Humbuster cables as directed in the owner's manual. Absolutely dead silent, no added noise and no noticeable latency. I also have a Voodoo Lab Control Switcher set up to change amp channels scene by scene. It's the most flexible and best...

    Four Cable Method help

I know many seem happy with those Headrush speakers, but I tried them and packed them back up to return in less than an hour. Just no comparison to my ears to the FM9 through a power amp and guitar cab.
