    Wish Wish List: New Amps

I would love to see the following three amps, which seem to be relatively unique: Musicman HD130 The HD130 is a fantastic guitar amp. Specifically, I like the "Normal" channel with the "Deep" switch on. There are at least two versions of this amp. The one that I've used has a smaller housing...

Axe-Fx II vs Axe-Fx III (video comparison)

Me too. I thought they'd sound virtually identical to begin with, but the Axe-FX III certainly sounds better.

My first Axe-FX recording: Sonic the Hedgehog (Kiesel VM6, Plexi 50, ML Zilla)

I recently bought an Axe-FX II XL+. I think it's great! A song from the Sega game Sonic The Hedgehog has been stuck in my head since I was about 5 years old, so I felt compelled to record a version of the song with the Axe-FX. I'm still working on basic guitar technique, so I'm afraid the...

III vs XL+: Please give me your advice.

I placed an order for an XL+ a few hours before the III was announced. As soon as I read the announcement I cancelled my order and signed up for the Australian waitlist. The III is due to be released in Australia in (approximately) May, and it should cost about $3,500. At that time, the XL+ was...

Is FAS prepared for high demand at launch?

He wants to know how long the people at the bottom of the wait list will have to wait before they’re served with stock. Fair enough. OP, I reckon FAS have a pretty good idea as to how many people are going to order these units.

The Axe-FX III wait list for Australia and New Zealand is now open. The link to it's on Independent Music's Facebook page:

    Presenting... The Axe-Fx III

$3100 including postage is the discounted price. IM were selling it for $3500 plus postage a few months ago. Perhaps you could return your XL+. However, the Axe-FX III isn’t going to ship to Australia until May at the earliest. If that’s too long, you could enjoy your XL+ in the interim, then...

    Presenting... The Axe-Fx III

I purchased an Axe-FX 2 XL+ 12 hours ago. I just asked for my order to be cancelled. I've been waiting for years to buy an Axe-FX, so I can certainly wait 1-2 months longer. This looks perfect!

    Ordered: XL+

I've been watching the Axe-FX since 2009. This afternoon, I finally bought one! :)

Dodged a Universal Audio Bullet: update = Pulled Trigger

Indeed, and it can be used locally. I just opened one of my UA plug-ins in Console; it doesn't seem to have any learn or assign functions. However, it can certainly be automated within Logic, which offers MIDI control. I guess that's what UA were referring to when they were talking to OP. MIDI...

    Strandberg Fusion

The people who own those guitars seem to love them. They're compact and lightweight, and the headless design ostensibly entails other advantages too. I reckon you should try it.

Dodged a Universal Audio Bullet: update = Pulled Trigger

Perhaps they're not MIDI controllable in a stand-alone state, as in the UAD Console. Control by MIDI might require a DAW.

Dodged a Universal Audio Bullet: update = Pulled Trigger

+1. This was my first impression too.
