For those that have an Axe-Fx III and an FM3

One thing I've been wondering regarding the FM3 and Axe3 is why the presets on the FM3 have scenes setup in the presets whereas they aren't on the 3. I can probably drag/drop onto the axe3 editor but I thought the presets would be similar. See "EJ clean" on the FM3 vs the Axe3 for what I mean.

Finally, a real gig with the FM3!

I had my first weekend with it live as well this past weekend. Very happy with the way it sounded. Controlling for me was a challenge, only in the sense that I was use to the Ax8 and now I'm figuring out the most effective implementation using the Morningstar and the Fm3.

I have a question regarding the Mcii and the "external control" feature. If I midi learn a button on the mc to External Control 1 - say it picks up cc115 - shouldn't I be able to then assign External control 1 to any mappable parameter and use the assigned button to control it? I am...

Morningstar mcII Configurations

I am curious how everyone is using the Morningstar with the FM3. I can't seem to find a way to control/select layouts with the MCII. So far I'm controlling scene up/down and preset up/down but I know the device is very flexible. Dave

Mine is out for delivery today. It feels like UPS is toying with me.. theyre a block away.. then waay out of the way. Makes you wonder what kind of algorithm they use for the delivery process.

I've only used it at the very end of my chain. In my mind that is the ideal location but that's only because I lay down the loop with all the processing that I want in it.

Maybe something for the next iteration but I think it would be quite handy to just have a global looper that is always available. Regardless of what patch you are on when the inspiration to loop hits you would have it available. Dave
