    Mind blowing stuff from OpenAI

On my last trip to Mordor, I stopped in a little tavern and saw this amazing band: The Fellowship of Prog Guitarist and Bassist were using Axe-Fx, of course ;) c/o Midjourney AI and some Photoshop work

Announcing the New FM9 Amp Modeler/FX Processor

This looks like a great unit! Nice job Cliff and Fractal Team! Any chance the LCD strips are upgraded? Maybe just my eyes, but I often have trouble reading them on my FC. Need a bit more contrast. Would love if there was an OLED upgrade available.

    Any Porcupine Tree Fans?

Favorite band!!... Steven, while being a bit eccentric, is an incredible songwriter/composer with diverse influences. I have all the PT and SW albums... every one has some real gems. But I think Hand Cannot Erase may be his masterpiece. Definitely recommend seeing him live when touring...

Ares vs Cygnus - if it was perfect - how can it be better now?

Cliff/Fractal has always been pretty open about describing the changes made with each new generation of firmware. It's fascinating to witness, and I think the whole community has followed along with a more critical ear. I don't know of a company anywhere in the world, in any industry that...

Axe-Fx III Firmware Release Version 16.00 "Cygnus"

Was thinking Cygnus final release would get a 1.0 designation...? Thanks for all the hard work Cliff and team! Best. Gear. Ever.

    Austin vs Fremen

All three of the above mentioned make great sounds... you might wanna wait for the final Cygnus release and see what they all do about updating for firmware changes. Patches are going to sound significantly different in some cases.

You guys are in for another treat.

Exciting!... new ecliphanies! Yeah, would be pretty sweet if versioning for Cygnus follow the Cygnus "X-n" structure. Can wait for Cygnus X-5 Book 3 in about a year. (aka Cygnus v5, Beta 3)

    Tim Pierce Toy Matinee Video

I wonder if Gilbert was an influence for Trey/Phish on the Rift album... hearing lots of similarities in vocal style. Last Plane Out.. man, that song is awesome, and their live performance at Roxy was so tight.

    Tim Pierce Toy Matinee Video

I'm pretty sure I've heard "Last Plane Out" before, probably on radio at some point in 90s. They have a really interesting sound... one foot in 80s pop, one in prog rock... lots of groove, solid musicianship all around, great harmonies and impeccable production.

    Tim Pierce Toy Matinee Video

Hmm.. Toy Matinee totally skipped my radar... Was knee deep in Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, NIN and AIC at the time I guess. These tracks sound great.

What makes a Beta firmware a release?

Yeah, I'm guessing there will be at least one more beta before an official release version of Cygnus.

    Cygnus Beta - first impressions

Hmm... Optical spring reverb... Sequential has a spring reverb easter egg -- accelerometer in Prophet 6 and OB-6 synths:
