    Wish More Carol Ann Amps

Super proud of that amp. Mike is such a good human being, he helped me out so much just as a good friend. He was such a blast to work with, we had some good laughs. I did the design and told him to use the parts he likes and we'll make it work. It was so much fun and the end result was such a...

    Wish More Carol Ann Amps

I'm doing great. In fact I'm practicing guitar right now. Have a cookout at our house this weekend and the guys that are playing want me to play a bit with them. My fingers are sore, but my PRS is happy :)

    Wish More Carol Ann Amps

The Satin was actually one of my personal fave amps from a technical design standpoint. It runs the reverb in a seperate side chain unlike most reverb amps and I can't think of any tube amplifier anywhere that has a lower noise floor and it doesn't use any sort of active noise cancellation, its...

    Wish More Carol Ann Amps

You are too kind. Thank you for such nice words. I have been detached from the guitar amp world since 2018 except for the design work for DrZ. My day gig now is designing ECU's for a large warehouse robotics company. It far more fulfilling technically than tube amplifiers ever were, but once in...

    Dumble (Ford 2) again....

Given you seem to know Eric, ask him to tell you the story of Dumble tweaking his amp at his place. It's pretty funny and involves many trips to Radio Shack and McDonalds. I did some amp work with Eric and sold him an amp back in 06 and spent time in his studio in Austin. The most surreal moment...

Soundcheck with Fremens Tucana Lead Modern very smooth

Its a new one I was sent to try from Warehouse Guitar Speakers. Its their EV style 200W speaker. I actually prefer it to an original EVM-12L....which I do like very much as it is. The other guitar player is using a combo with an EVM- 2L.

What amps have pleasantly surprised you and what amps have been a let down?

Aww, thank you. That's very kind of you. Having the models in there definitely does expose them to a much wider audience. Playing the amp models in the Axe is a way better way to sample things than listening to a professional player play clips. I enjoy listening to the recordings people make...

    Dumble (Ford 2) again....

Yeah that's really odd. Its a cool graphic too !!! It looks like the mobile website logo I use , but I definitely didn't add it, I'm so lazy when it comes to those things. Hey, its fine. Thank you whoever took the time to do this for me, its appreciated !!!

    Dumble (Ford 2) again....

I've worked on 100W EL34 Dumbles with Fender Twin PT's, actually Magic Parts TF130 replacement Twin PT to be precise. theres quite a few of those, I think Cliffs amp may have this arrangement. You can actually blister your fingers on the power and standby switch, the back of the amp seriously...

<--------Whoever added the logo graphic, thank you. It just appeared and I didn't do it.

    Dumble (Ford 2) again....

That video has been used to close many Dumble discussions. Even the most hardcore Dumble fan cant get their head around Henrys playing in that video. Henry is actually a MONSTER player too.

I picked the short version on purpose. The full version is like a bad acid trip.

Awwww...an overly sensitive Dumbleite......Bless. 'fragile harmonics' come on you've never seen this???.........its a classic, right up there with '12 Angry Men' !!! Maybe not, there was way more truth in that movie. This is what Cliff was referring to in his post. Dumbles explanation of a...

    Dumble (Ford 2) again....

I tend to avoid anything that I know is going to upset me. If you are passionate about something, have unchangeable views and you are of the type of personality to get offended or upset, then stay away from discussions on the subject. It really is that simple. Let me give you an example. I...
