Axe-Fx III Firmware Version 11.02 Public Beta #2

A full backup including cabs is about 45MB (attached), which is still nothing, relatively speaking. I backup to a location that's sync'd with my Google drive, so I almost immediately have two copies. Better to have them and not need them...

My Axe-Fx III stopped working! What to do ? :( [SOLVED]

Contact support. They will be able to guide you through determining what the problem is.

Help a complete modeler greenhorn purchase an Axe-Fx III

I thought the Austin Buddy TonePacks were very helpful. I found the tones I liked and copied some of the blocks out of them as a starting point for my own tones. I've not used the Cooper Carter tutorial, but there are lots of positive comments about it around here. At first it may help to treat...

About to take the plunge... again?

This is me as well. I've been playing over 30 years, and had never believed my primary rig would be anything but a tube amp. Oh sure, I'd use a solid state rig or modeller for rehearsals or as a backup, but what I practiced with and performed with was always a tube head with a pedal or two in...

Is it me? Does 6.03 suck? My live sounds are now terrible.

It's not unusual for updates to require some redialing, but I think that's less common with minor version updates. What version were you on before 6.03? That might help pinpoint what changed.

    Finally took the plunge!

Check out the TonePack for Axe III from Austin Buddy. I use some of the blocks in those presets as starting points for a lot of my own tones.

    Need help with wireless selection

I've got the Line 6 G75, no issues. The drop out problems were primarily related to an earlier firmware release. That, and disable the battery saver (although that may also have been related to the earlier firmware). I just make sure I scan for the preferred channel before the show, and when I...

Any bedroom only players using an Axe-Fx 3?

I'm presently a home-only player, but I do the band thing from time to time. I use the Axe-FX III because it covers everything I can possibly throw at it, and it sounds the best to me. I've owned all the big name tube amps after the last couple decades-both mass produced and boutique-due to...

On the fence...help me jump off :-)

Like some of the others have suggested, there's no one-size-fits-all answer. That said, I've been playing almost 30 years, and for 29 of those I was certain that my primary "serious" guitar rig would only ever be tube-based, with high-voltage preamp circuits, no diodes, etc. After a few months...

Announcing the FM3 Amp Modeler/FX Processor!

I personally don't mind buy-to-try, even when we're talking $2K+. I get 15 days to spend as much time with it as I want, in my own home, with the rest of my own gear. Trying something out in GC might tell you some things about it, but I'd rather test it out with my gear in one of the main...

Announcing the FM3 Amp Modeler/FX Processor!

That's what I'm getting out of it too. The FM3 seems of the Axe-FX III/Ares lineage much the same as the AX8 was of Axe-FX II/Quantum, with the FM3 having limitations relative to the Axe-III comparable to the differences between the AX8 and Axe-FX II. In terms of the roughly equivalent...

Axe-FX related (Tone-Talk segment with Friedman and Jake E Lee)

I watched and enjoyed it. Dave's a tube amp monger, and his position on modelling is predictably partisan. I think most people realize there's enough room at the table for everyone.

    Axe-Fx III Firmware Version 4.03

My sense is that when bugs happen, no one is more unhappy about it than Cliff. We have the option to roll back, and hopefully provide some constructive feedback about what we experienced. Speaking just for myself, I like the rate of innovation and recognize that it imparts some risks. If I...

    Axe-Fx III Firmware Version 3.02

Are you sure? Yek's guide shows it as a TS9, including quotes from Cliff to that effect.

    Axe-Edit III 1.00.13

What, like you want them to sit on the firmware update until the corresponding Axe-Edit version is ready? LOL. You could just wait until the Axe-Edit release before updating your firmware ;-)
