Are All XL+ Units Equal?

The analog components take some time to sound and feel constant. For the first 10to20 minutes, the unit is reacting different to my fingers. I have 4 different boss cs3 and they all react and feel different. The most of my friends think they sound and feel the same... I guess with the input and...

Fractal Audio DRIVE models: Full OD (based on Fulltone Full-Drive 2)

An OCD in the AXE would be a dream. I still have to use my Hardware OCD, cause nothing in the AXE comes close enogh for me.

Disappointed :(

I also bought my unit used. Had similar problems. All dark and muddy. No system reset helped. After an FPGA update (you can't do that by yourself) All was fine . Maybe that was helpfully.

Don't forget to reset everything and make complete new presets. This firmware is the clearest ever ( I still don't like the distortion) for me. And the fx are pretty transparent now.

The 2.01 firmware was so a huge step for me. The best firmware ever. The 2.02 is a complete different thing. I did resets on all parameters but it still sounds, compared to 2.01, muddy to me and especially the thing everybody is calling "breakup" that was nearly perfekt in 2.01 is lost for me...

The really best firmware ever!!! I have my Mark II one year already, but the difference to my real Amps was always too huge to use the AXE without amp on stage. This update really is a very very big step forward. I don´t miss anything anymore. A game changer IMO!!!! Thank you very much!!!

Axe FX 2 MK 2 ..... Compressor Block ..... having issues ..... need some tips please .....

Try the Pedal Comp1 with Attak 1.280, Release 19, auto off, Emphasis 8, Lookahead 0 It comes close, but I didn´t find a way to get the same thickness of my Diamond Comp. Still impossible for me to get a real country twäng. What about a new comp Modell based on the Boss CS2 :)?

Axe FX as a delay/reverb processor only w/ tube amp - bypass?

I feel exactly the same. I also bought this unit as a fx processor in front of my tubeamp. Output 2 is better than output 1 but as said, significant compression and high-end tone loss. It don't work for me. I didn't sell the unit because for small gigs direct to foh it's still the best modeller...

Just updated to Quantum 1.1

In my case, I had a very muddy hard compressed sound with quantum and I didn't understand all the positive feedback . YESTERDAY I found this thread and was resetting also all Y presets. I never used X Y btw I did the following : System reset and turned off the unit. Copy x to y, Reset Y...
