    What’s cooking in Fractal’s kitchen?

Yep. It's dependent on user input, so you'll occasionally come across ads that haven't been reported yet, but you can set it to skip various types of in video segments.

Dyna-cab, general consensus is that they're "better" than legacy?

I mean, they're still going through a mic pre.

What doesn't the Axe Fx do effect wise

As has already been said: mimiq and freqout are probably the most obvious. On a more esoteric front, the only pedal I keep in my chain is a Dwarfcraft Great Destroyer, and there may be some way to combine assorted things to approximate that, but, if there is, it's beyond me.

250$ for Metallica Black Album Preset

When I get into a space like that I find it's just a matter of seeking out a new source for recommendations.

Exactly. And I'm here for enjoying nostalgic things, but I think that, if a person values art, remaining aware of that nostalgia and engaging with things that don't tickle that nostalgia spot is very important. Like... I love Star Wars, but I'm not going to avoid other scifi movies that are...

250$ for Metallica Black Album Preset

It's not that WE'RE old, it's that some people get myopic about what they think they're able to enjoy as time goes by. I said what I said, and I phrased it specifically. There's plenty of new stuff (and old stuff) that I don't personally like, especially if I limit myself to things that get...

250$ for Metallica Black Album Preset

The 90s were an amazing decade for music. BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT... there's still amazing music being released every year. The actual difference is simply that the gatekeepers for bringing music to the attention of the masses (yes, even underground stuff used to have marketing gatekeepers) are...

Curious rando on the forum: "What's 2 plus 2?" 90% of respondents: "17" "Why would you want to know what 2 plus 2 is?" "34" "2 plus 2 is the same as 1 plus 3" "Get one pile of 2 things and another pile of 2 things and use your eyes to figure out the answer" "Blueberry cheesecake" Y'all know...

Kirk Hammett On Rick Beato (Fractal content)

He's got decades of "If I'm hearing too much high end I can run over and turn my treble knob an 1/8 turn in 5 seconds and solve my issue" sort of troubleshooting. comparatively, the afx DOES take either more prep to have that ease of control ready or more tweaking experience to speedily jump...

    Dyna-cabs position measurement?

It's not an unreasonable question to ask. Dial in with our ears and all that, but people act like having additional points of reference isn't useful and it's weird.

Kirk Hammett On Rick Beato (Fractal content)

For a lot of players you'd be correct, but you have to keep in mind his context, which is playing out on a massive stadium stage with nothing but an expression pedal within reach. So, even with performance mode, it'd be more difficult for him to quickly communicate on the fly changes to his tech...

Dyna-cab, general consensus is that they're "better" than legacy?

I have conflicted feelings about it. I think the interface for DC is substantially better than having to cycle through countless IR files. However, there's elements baked into the DC offerings that I feel it's excessively difficult to counter in order to get any of them to do certain things that...
