2 Guitars 1 FX8?

Hi again..... My time has been a nightmare, so I haven't got around to this before now. Just for those who are interested it works like a charm.... I have a DI box between the FX8 and the mixer. There ise no noise detected, but that might have to do with a high quality instrument, DI box...

Good point Zed... However, my alternative to use a DI and directly to the PA wouldn't have a noise gate either, so as long as the actual FX8 is not generating noise, it should be fine I guess.

Arghhh I get it ...... the signal comes from the FX pre section to the amp and return to the FX8... Doing it my way, removed the pre signal to be sent anywhere... thank you Chris you are a star

Thanks Chris. Its connected between IN 2 and OUT 2, tried both the L's and the R's I use teh L's going forward and return from my amp effect loop and that works fine. When I connect the patch cable instead, no sound from the Post effects. The patch cable is brand new high quality cable

Hi all I am using 4 CM with my mesa lonestar and it sounds great. However there is quite a high noise level doing that (even using hum buster cables) if i just use one CM the noise is gone. OK I have made my presets to 4CM, but thought using a patch cable on the back of the out 2's on th FX8...

FX8 Mark II Relays?

yes, I think thats it. I came from and Axe FX II to a tube amp with the FX8. I converted my presets from my Axe FX II using Fractool, and I have been weird things going on...... First the compresseor block would not save changes, relays do not save, it can freeze up once in a while, I cant...

Hmmm, strange. I might need to reset my unit and reprogram it all to see if it helps. The thing is , when my calibrated volume pedal goet from 5-95% I actually think thats how it is, since heel down is not totally muted as it should be....

Hmmm.. strange... I always have had a feeling that my FX8 is dodgy in many ways regarding the software. I used the Fractool to convert presets from my Axe FX II and strange things occured. It would not save changes to the compressor block, all other blocks where fine., I had to reset the unit...

Yes I agree... I'm Ok that there is no new features to it, but it is a bit "buggy" to be honest, far from the quality (software) of the axe I used to own. It freezes up sometimes, you can't edit and save relay setting in FX8 edit and many more issues like that. I'm quite disappointed to be...

Ideas to subtle WAH in preset

I think I figured it out.... I changed the bypass setting from mute to "thru" now i can turn down the parallel effect I would like to decrease in the signal. Also played around with the parametric Q for this fixed WAH, and it sounds better to my ears, at least on lower volume settings at home...
