If you use two amp blocks, you don't need to crossfade. I just use one IA switch set to switch Amp 1 and Amp 2 on/off, with the values reversed. I have this in many of my presets and it's seamless.No. I just tried and there is still a short dropout.
Since I haven't been regularly switching between X and Y amp, I don't know if the drop out is better than before or not so you'll probably want to experiment. For me, for similar levels/gain between the two, the dropout is sounds like a weak crossfade rather than a full dropout. For some transitions, I doubt this would matter. For others where the guitar is prominent, you probably want to use two amp blocks and "crossfade" using a modifier (using level on each amp with one inverted tied to the same modifier or similar with a a Vol/Pan (or Mixer block)).
Oh yeah, I just put my mesa on ebay. I like the upgrade that much. I am sending in my wife for some modeling with a list of things to add and leave out. You guys are killer.
I must be one lucky guy.
Never found a bug with Axe-edit. Always updated an tweaked with Axe-Edit. Seriously!!
I say leave it as it is.............run!!
that's saying something, because buttery rules the land of "on the edge breakup" for me....
excited.com - can't wait to take the plunge....
So you're saying AE .317 works fine with V9b?
Dude, there's about a zillion posts about this...avoid Axe-Edit until further notice except to upgrade firmware.

Well this is a first. 10 pages of comments about a new major firmware release and not a single "I don't like it compared to the previous version". I suppose it's still early though.
