Description of item

Ikebe Musical Instrument Store 45th Anniversary Model! Special j.custom using exotic crowbar is in stock!

The j.custom series, which bears the name of Japan Custom (j.custom) and reigns as a flagship line.
The perfection of the use of carefully selected materials and the technology that focuses on sound and playability in every detail by skilled craftsmen boasts a quality that sets it apart from the others, and is extremely popular not only in Japan but also overseas.

Based on the RG8560, which adopted the SSH pickup layout of the pickguard dress, which is the first in the regular lineup, the "RG8560SLTD-NTF" was ordered with special contents so that the finish would be suitable for the 45th anniversary of the founding of Ikebe Musical Instrument Store.

It is the basic body material of j.custom is "flame maple top / mahogany back", but for the top, we have selected bar sapele wood, which is characterized by exotic wood grain.

Sapele wood is a tree of the same mahogany family as mahogany, and its acoustic characteristics and grain are close to those of mahogany, and it is characterized by a rich midrange and sticky sound. It is used in high-class furniture.

The back is made of ash material with a comfortable midrange that allows the sound to escape well so that the single coil sound in the front position stands out. Of course, it goes well with the rear position humbucker, and both the distortion sound and the clean sound output a sound with a moderate attack feeling.

In addition, by inserting walnut material between the sapele material and the ash material, the strength of the adhesive surface of the top & back is improved, and the cut-off elbow cut part has a slight accent in looks. increase.

The neck uses the same Super Wizard shape as the current j.custom, which boasts high playability unique to Ibanez. Although the shape is overwhelmingly thinner than the necks of other manufacturers, the strength is also safe due to the 5-piece structure that combines maple and wenge materials.

Kalimantan ebony, which is a kind of ebony lumber, is selected for the fingerboard. As the name suggests, this Kalimantan ebony is an ebony lumber that originates in Kalimantan Island, Indonesia, and has a richer color and grain expression than general black ebony lumber. It may also be used as a side / back material for acoustic guitars.

The Kalimantan ebony fingerboard is equipped with Jescar EVO Gold frets, an alloy of copper, tin, iron and titanium. It features not only a gold look that is different from stainless steel and nickel silver frets, but also a brighter tone and higher durability than nickel silver frets. Of course, the edges of the frets are spherically processed, which is unique to j.custom, to reduce the resistance of the fingers to hit when fingering and to achieve a higher level of playing comfort.

In addition, the side position mark specifies a phosphorescent material that is becoming a standard specification for many brands.

The pickup is equipped with the same DiMarzio Black Velvet as the regular lineup RG8560. This Black Velvet is a pickup jointly developed by Ibanez and DiMarzio on the assumption that it will be used in SSH layout, and it will be a model that has not been released as a single unit. In particular, the rear humbucker has a nuance like a single coil, and is suitable for modern sound make-up with crispy treble and tight bass.
It is also equipped with a rear humbucker coil tap function using a mini switch.

A model commemorating the 45th anniversary of the founding of the Ikebe Musical Instrument Store, which incorporates special specifications into j.custom, which has the ability as a flagship line.

20 RG8560SLTD-NTF with SSH layout and 10 RG8520SLTD-NTF with 2 humbucker layout (arrival date undecided) will be limited to 30 in total.

I know what you meant, but the thread title is a totally different thing.

I would amend to J-custom lol

I was going to say, ā€œno kiddinā€, I took this for a big dollar Sugi buildā€ and ā€œlove the burl with the gold lo-proā€.

RG 8570z in brownish sperealite? I have one in black rutile. 2021 model year. Ordered in feb 2021 and took delivery in September. Mine actually has a kind of weak flame, but the build quality is out of this world, and came perfectly setup. I threw some slinky 10-46s on it and made a few tweaks and itā€™s truly awesome.

All due respect, but you sir are nuts. That's gorgeous, just like it is, in that finish. If I had the cash, and it was local to me so I could try it, it'd be gone in a flash.

Well, if I didn't have an aversion to locking bridge and nut guitars. And the neck inlay is a little blingy for me. But the finish, A+ in my book.
